Calling All Crocheters (and Knitters!)

If you knit or crochet, you might be interested in the annual Crochet and Knit- A-Thon sponsored by Merlin Snugs Hugs for Kids. This organization is seeking volunteers to help reach a goal of knitting 2,000 pairs of mittens to be distributed to children during the year 2000 holidays.

Each year, crafters from the United States, Canada and other countries make and donate mittens, hats, scarves, afghans, sweaters, booties and more. These gifts are distributed through the Children's Home & Aid Society of Illinois to children ages infant to 18.
