Previous: Step 14
When Louise Rauh was in high school, she received great support from her art teachers . . . to pursue a career as a dental hygienist. She took their advice and flourished, yet felt unfulfilled creatively, which finally prompted her to go back to school and follow her artistic dream. This entertaining, bundle-of-energy was immediately drawn to metal and even developed her own technique. For her master’s degree thesis in fine arts she dissolved metal in a deliberate pattern, while balancing the medium’s delicacy and durability. The result: exquisite, decorative aluminum bowls handpainted in vibrant acrylic inks.
