When Karen Davidson was earning her art degree, she loved so many mediums that she could never choose an emphasis in just one. From pottery to jewelry making to collage work, she worked at everything, and still does. But the medium that commands most of her attention these days is one she didn't learn in school . . . its zipper mosaics. The possibilities have been endless, from zipper-covered bowls and plates to decorative pieces of fruit. She has this non-traditional art form all zipped up.
