The Carol Duvall Show cameras visit Joanne Hunot, an artist who makes wall sculptures out of old household utensils. Her assemblages pay homage to the American housewife and mother, turning their lovingly used utensils into meaningful recycled art. Some resemble angels, while others are more abstract.

Hunot begins by scouring flea markets throughout the world and collecting unique and unusual metal kitchen utensils--spoons and other flatware, spatulas, strainers, etc. She places certain pieces together until she starts to see an image appear. Some components may have to be cut to size, while others may need a different finish. Once satisfied, Hunot drills tiny holes into each component and attaches them with wire.
