Creation Station is an award-winning, hands-on children's program that has become one of the most popular sites at the Cherry Creek Art Festival held each year in Denver, Colo. Here, children combine their creative talents with technology and education to learn and have fun. There are many different projects to try, including making hats and faces from paper plates, and funny felt crafts. Parents and teachers have found that creative activities enhance self-esteem, which ultimately results in better school work. Organizers encourage parents to stay and create with their children, not only to promote future family craft projects, but also to build a closer relationship between parents and kids.
