Window Treatment

Materials:

wooden dowel
primary-colored paint
paintbrush
2 colored tennis balls
themed bed sheet or solid, light-colored fabric and rubber stamps

Steps:

  1. Paint a wooden dowel with primary colors.

  2. Add colored tennis balls as rod ends to create the perfect curtain rod.

  3. Turn a bed sheet with a theme into a curtain. Another option is make your own by using rubber stamps to decorate a solid, light-colored cloth and use as curtain.

Three-Section Activity Center

Divide the playroom into sections, and stock each with more than enough activity possibilities to keep children occupied. Following is a list of ideas:

Section 1: painting center

Section 2: felt-board action center

Section 3: giant chalkboard area.

* Note: When a child outgrows a section of the room, simply remove the parts and paint the walls.
