Materials:

Caron Natura Wintuk, Art. 1977 (3 * oz. skein); yarns containing Solutia Acrilan or Bounce-Back fibers
1 skein #900 White
1 skein #148 Dark Caribbean Blue
1 skein #924 Royal
1 skein #112 New Hibiscus Pink
Crochet hook, size H, or size required to crochet to gauge
Fiberfill stuffing, 4 oz.'s
Jingle bell
Small empty plastic bottle, such as an aspirin bottle, with childproof top
White craft glue

Size: About 4" in diameter

Gauge: 4 sc = 1"

With White, ch 21.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across-20 sc. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3 through 6: Repeat Row 2. At end of last row, cut White. Continue to repeat Row 2, working 6 rows Dark Caribbean Blue, 6 rows White, 6 rows Royal, 6 rows White, 6 rows New Hibiscus Pink. At end of last row, fasten off.
Finishing: Sew starting ch edge to last row to form a tube. Working from wrong side, weave a length of White around one open edge; draw tightly to gather and secure. Insert jingle bell in plastic bottle: apply glue around top of bottle, then place childproof top on bottle. Wrap jingle bell bottle in stuffing then place in open end of crochet ball. Add more stuffing around edges so that ball is snug. Weave length of White around open edge; draw tightly to gather. Secure yarn.
