6. Attach the pickets to the 2x4s on the back frame with wood screws.

7. Assemble the sidepieces in the same manner.

8. Attach the sidepieces to the footboard. Attach the sidepieces to the headboard. Attach metal rails to the backboard, sides and footboard. Place the wood slats on the inside of the wooden rails.

  • Fill all screw holes with wood putty and sand the piece thoroughly.

  • Wash everything with a garden hose.

  • Attach fence post caps to the two front posts.
