It was a wonderful collection of craft items and photos of craft items that were in the Shoebox today, starting with a letter from Polly Mazur of Syracuse, N.Y. Polly was inspired by a segment of our show in which she saw Ana Araujo use wooden balls and chenille stems to turn artificial flowers from the craft store into delightful Flower Fairies. Polly thought these would be just what she had been wanting for a bridal shower she was giving. She started out with the intention of making a few Flower Fairies, but the idea soon escalated into a whole bouquet of flowers. She then made party favors by placing the top portions of more fairies in mini flower pots and surrounding them with tiny artificial ivy. They were all as cute as they could be, and we believed Polly when she said she had a very good time making everything.
