Steps:

1. Cover your work area with newspapers or cardboard. Wear appropriate clothing for candle making.

2. Melt the wax using the double boiler. Use the thermometer to monitor the temperature of the wax (Figure A). For the best results melt wax to 200 degrees and add the dye. When the desired color is achieved, add the scent.

3. Pour the wax into the mold when the temperature is between 180 and 190 degrees (Figure B).

4. Let the wax set for a few hours or until wax forms are completely hardened.

5. Wearing a protective glove or using potholder, use a lighter or other reliable heat source to warm the wicking needle and melt a hole just large enough for the wick to go through the center of each hardened wax form (Figure C).

6. Thread the pre-waxed wick through each form and build your stacking candle (Figure D). For the best results, do not exceed 4" in height (Figure E). Trim the wick to 1/4 inch each time before burning the candles (Figure F).

7. Use the Tacky Wax to hold the wick to the bottom of the candles and in between the wax forms to keep the stacks together.

Safety Tip: Never leave hot wax unattended. Never burn a candle on surfaces sensitive to heat. Never leave a lighted candle unattended. Keep out of drafts and out of reach of children.
