Another option is to use child-size molds to make unique bookends.
Add a touch of Old World charm to an entry or hall with a cobbler-mold hat rack. Or, use child-size molds to make unique bookends.

Materials:

cupboard door
3 sawtooth hangers
glue gun
glue sticks
cobbler molds
drill
metal drill bit
screws
decorative wood trim
double hooks
paint
miter box & saw

Steps:

1. Paint the cupboard door as desired and let dry.

2. Add sawtooth hangers to the back.

3. Miter the corners of the trim and glue it around the edges of the door.

4. If necessary, glue the cobbler mold pieces together to make the hat rack sturdier.

5. Pre-drill the sole of each mold in the heel and toe areas. Screw them on through the back of the door. Be sure to hold them tight when securing them so they don't move.

6. Add a hook to the top toe end of each mold.
