Figure B
Steps:

  1. Hot glue the wooden balls to the bottom of the pot to act as "feet." Space these evenly (figure B).

  2. Cut two pieces of 1/4 inch copper wire to the length of 2-1/2 times the height of the pot for the handles.

Figure C
  • Form the handles by bending the wire pieces into S-shapes with curlicue ends (figure C). To do this, start at the middle of one piece, and bend the ends of the wire into loops that curl in opposite directions—a large loop on one end and a smaller loop on the other. Use locking pliers to grasp the wire and finish the bending. Repeat with second piece of wire, curling in the opposite direction of the first handle to form left and right sides.

  • After forming two identical wire handles, position them against the pot with the large loops against the top of the pot. Use a marker to mark the points where the handles that touch the pot.

    Figure D
  • Hot glue the wire handles to the pot (figure D), applying pressure for at least 30 seconds until the bond forms.

    Figure E
  • Spray the pot with metallic copper spray paint (figure E). Follow the paint manufacturer’s directions, and work in a well-ventilated area.
