Design-A-Doll

Carol Duvall Show : Episode CDS-330 -- More Projects »
If Carol Duvall's gotten you into the spirit of dolls but you enjoy dressing them, rather than making them, then she's got a product for you from the Design 1 company.

Beginning with a soft form plain doll called Little Bit, Design 1 has expanded its doll line to include one that is four feet tall as well as animal forms like cats and rabbits. One of Design 1's best sellers, Frosty the Snowman, is really a shapeless doll which leaves a lot to your crafter's imagination.

Duvall took some of the shapeless dolls back to the production staff to instill the spirit of dressing dolls. From a proper penguin to a silly sideways bug to a creature from outer space, everyone enjoyed the possibilities. Duvall's favorite design came from prop man Dave Lowe, who used scraps from crafting projects on earlier shows to put together a crazy doll that tied itself in knots!
