Figure A--Adrienne Outlaw is a sculptor with an amazing body of work. She sculpts the human form in ways that seem to come to life, often floating in time and space. She likes to communicate the theme that we as human beings are always trying to be perfect on the exterior yet have so much depth of emotion on the interior. The process she uses is lengthy as well as very physically demanding, both for her and for her subjects.

Figure B--Outlaw is always thinking about the gesture the next subject will strike and the poses in which she can put them. She wants to vividly communicate an expression that may not be immediately clear to a casual viewer. Her work has been featured in galleries, libraries and universities, but perhaps it is most powerful when viewed in person.
