Dian Dull's plaster work looks like the frosting on a wedding cake. Her intricate patterns add elegance to drab walls and ceilings. She is shown creating tiered molding for a mansion ceiling that features a classic egg-and-dart motif (see above right photo).

After she builds a latex mold for her egg-and-dart pattern, she pours in the plaster . She pops out the egg and dart, smoothes it with sandpaper and uses it as a template to create yet another mold out of durable urethane. This mold is used to make dozens of plaster eggs and darts, which are then lined up in a row to create her ceiling molding.
