Fused Dichroic Glass Pendant

Glass artist Kyle Kinsey is quite the character! A talkative young man who learned his craft from his grandmother, Kyle is happy to share his unique stories and techniques with others. He continues his creativity with his original fused glass pendants. He cuts and lays out all different kinds and colors of glass into various shapes to make a freeform composition.

Materials:

bull's eye colored glass
dichroic glass
fine silver bezel
craft glue
glass scorer
kiln
adjustable cord

Steps:

1. Cut the base piece from colored glass (1" x 1").

2. Rub some glue on the base piece. Cut and compose design on top of base piece with dichroic glass, sticking it into the glue.

3. Cut a 1" x 1" clear piece and put it on top of the dichroic assembly. Maybe put an accent piece of dichroic on top of that. if you want.

4. Bend a finding out of the silver. Sandwich the silver between a matching piece of colored glass and the back of the 1" x 1" colored base glass.

5. Prep kiln shelf (paint it and fire it to dry it on a previous day). Fire the pendant.

6. Tie it on a lovely adjustable cord.
