Beaded Choker

Materials

1/2 yard Wrights green beaded piping #40685 L60
jewelry findings:
2 bullet ends with loops
1 barrel clasp
2 jump rings
craft glue
scissors
needle-nose pliers

Steps:

1. Carefully remove the stitching from the beads and the fabric skirt (figure A).

2. Dip both ends into puddle of glue and allow to dry.

3. Slip each end of beaded trim into the two bullet ends (figure B).

4. With needle-nose pliers, add jump rings to the two bullet ends.

5. Add barrel clasps to each of the ends with bullets (figure C).

Matching Button Earrings

Materials

6" Wrights green beaded piping #40685 L60
1 pair wide flat earring pad posts
craft glue
scissors
needle-nose pliers

Steps:

1. Carefully remove stitching from the beads and fabric skirt.

2. Cut into two pieces.

3. Dip both ends of each piece into glue and allow to dry.

4. Take one piece and coil up making a circle beyond the back of earring, gluing as you go. Hint: When starting, begin at the center of the back, place beaded end down and coil over it, covering it; do the same at the finishing end, tucking it under the coil so it is not exposed.

5. Allow glue to dry well before wearing.

Matching Dangle Earrings

Materials

scrap of Wrights green beaded ball fringe (2 balls) #40685 L60
2 rhinestone-tipped head pins
beads to lengthen dangle (optional)
1 pair loop French hook ear wires
scissors
needle-nose pliers

Steps:

1. Carefully cut beaded from fabric skirt.

2. Turn ball over, and insert head pin through center of ball from the bottom up (figure D).

3. Feed three or four loose beads onto head pin (figure E).

4. Cut head pin to desired length and make a small loop (figure F). Be careful not to leave any sharp edges.

5. Attach to earring wire (figure G).

6. Optional: Add more beads to lengthen the "dangle" and then attach to earring wire.

Materials

1/3 yard of Wrights 7/8" black velvet ribbon #222 169 030
1/3 yard Wrights multi beaded fringe #40692 Ro1E2
6" Wrights chain trim #184 85575 046
1 pair flat necklace choker clamps
jump rings
clasp
needle-nose pliers
scissors
tape measure
fabric craft glue

Steps:

1. Measure around neck and cut velvet ribbon to that size.

2. Lay ribbon on flat surface. Cut beaded fringe to same length.

3. Glue skirt of fringe to bottom edge of ribbon, positioning so beads are hanging freely and all of skirt is covered by ribbon (figure H). Allow to dry.

4. Cinch clamps on each raw edge, being sure to catch both ribbon and skirt (figure I).

5. Attach chain to loop on clamps with jump rings.

6. Add clasp to chain on one side for closure (figure J).

Materials

2 pieces beaded fringe (3 dangles each--2 long, 1 short)
2 cap beads
1 pair wire earring loops
2 jump rings
various beads
scissors
needle-nose pliers

Steps:

1. Carefully cut 3 dangles of fringe from skirt (2 long, 1 short, or as you wish) leaving a small bit of fabric attached (figure K).

2. Cut off half the width of the twill skirt.

3. Roll up tightly, gluing as you go (figure L). Allow to dry.

4. Slip cap bead over top of fabric tape and tighten (figure M).

5. Add jump ring to top. Slip onto earring wires.

Materials

Wrights rayon twisted cord tieback #144 4020 093
large bead, stone or shell to dangle as pendant
extra large jump ring
2 regular jump rings
needle-nose pliers
scissors

Steps:

1. Carefully cut one loop off of end of tieback, down to rushing (figure N).

2. Slip extra large jump ring into cording.

3. Add small jump ring to large one.

4. Add jump ring to large jewel, bead, stone, shell, etc., for pendant.

5. Attach to ring on cord (figure O).

6. Slip rushed "ball" at one end through remaining loop for clasp.
