Converting timber into paper is a very energy-intensive process, but recycling conserves resources and saves energy. Recycling all cards after Christmas will save tens of thousands of tons of greenhouse gases each year.

Materials Needed:

  • scissors
  • white card stock
  • X-acto knife
  • recycled images (from last year's Christmas cards, magazines or wrapping paper)

Step 1

Print out attached templates. Place selected template onto a piece of patterned, recycled paper. Draw around the template and cut out the shape.

Step 2

Lightly score down the middle of recycled card stock with an X-acto knife and ruler. Fold card in half and glue the large star shape onto the front.
