Whether it's a romantic dinner for two or a playful picnic for eight, these candlestick holders add the perfect ambience to every occasion.
Materials and Tools
acrylic paint or wood stain
key hole saw
1. Using the circular saw, cut the top rail ball off the newel post. Cut off the bottom to desired height.
2. Cut a block of wood for the base of the holder. Cut a 15-degree angle to bevel the edges of the block of wood. Secure the newel post on the block of wood with two galvanized screws.
3. Cut a smaller block of wood and bevel the edges (figure A).
Use a key hole saw to make a large hole in the block of wood to hold the candle (figure B).
4. Attach smaller top block with wood glue and galvanized screws to the top of the post.
5. Stain as desired.
