From the pages of HGTV Magazine, Drew Scott of Property Brothers tells you how to remix this old item with a little more than paint.
Remove and discard the original hardware; patch holes with wood filler. Let dry, then sand lightly. Remove the door and drawers. Paint the sideboard, door, and drawer fronts. (We used a full-gloss finish for added shine.) Let dry, then apply a second coat.
Drill holes in the door and drawers. Screw in new hardware (Streamline hooks in bronze, $16 each, anthropologie.com).
Reattach the door and replace the drawers.
