Fuchsia, Black & White
Designer Samantha Pynn wanted to create a kid-friendly, girly glam look in this living room. Color played a huge role. This blue-gray sofa works beautifully against the soft gray walls. Pops of pink provide a touch of playfulness and modern style, while black lends sophistication. White throughout the large space adds lightness and a touch of romance.
Pink Peonies = Perfect Color
What says \"girly\" more than a vase of pink flowers? And you can never go wrong with colors drawn from nature. These arrangements are simple but oh-so-chic.
Girly Glam for All Ages
The striking color story in this great room can be seen in the living room. Thrift store chairs and matching pillows were covered in fuchsia fabric. The fireplace surround was painted crisp white to match the room's molding, curtains and accessories. The ottoman was recovered in a butterfly-inspired, organic fabric that helps bring the colors together.
A Rainbow of Colors
The time of blue or pink nurseries is long gone. Take a color cue or two from today's modern baby toys, bedding and accessories which are bold, bright and beautiful.
Modern & Stimulating
If you want to incorporate bold colors in a nursery, design a room with soft neutrals first. The soothing green walls and light-blue carpet tiles provide the perfect foundation for this nursery. The orange rocker pops in the corner, and colorful accessories and toys are bold yet functional accents.
Aesthetically Pleasing Accessories
If you're going to hang a mirror in a nursery, choose one with an oversized frame in a hue from your color palette. We love the way this one looks coordinated with colorful toys and a stack of books.
The bold green works in this bedroom, because it is used sporadically and judiciously — in the custom headboard, curtains and bedding where the green is but a hint on the piping on the pillows. The result is unexpected and very pretty.
Beautiful Blue, Green & Cream Vignette
Two bold patterns on this side chair and pillow look as if they were made for each other because they share the same bold green color. The beautiful blue in the pillow is picked up in the turquoise book on the table. A vase of creamy white flowers is the finishing touch on this sophisticated bedroom vignette.
