HGTV'd: Amazing Makeovers

In every episode of HGTV'd, a homeowner gets a jaw-dropping transformation of a living space.

  • Lounge Bar

    Coffeehouse Charm

Designer Sabrina Soto delivers a cohesive family entertainment center to a family with 10 kids. The family had wanted a place where they can all hang out together — playing games, watching TV, listening to music and enjoying each other. The boys wanted a gaming lounge, and Amelia, a native of Costa Rico, wanted a coffee bar. With this fabulous coffee and ice cream bar, featuring high-tech coffee-making equipment, the space becomes the gathering place for family and friends.

  • Before Lounge

    Before: Where Did Everybody Go?

And this is what it looked like before. Larry and Amelia have 10 children, and the home they've lived in for many years has slowly undergone additions. Since the renovation, the former kitchen and living room had become a vastly underused space with a makeshift office at the far end.

  • Lounge

    Gaming Lounge

After: The colorful seating area, a stainless steel fireplace, a flat-screen TV and a complete touch-controlled entertainment center create an atmosphere of fun. The HGTV'd team covered two walls with stacked stone to add definition and uniqueness. On the right, a water feature has been integrated into the window so that Amelia can enjoy the rainforest-like sound.

  • Dual-Purpose Door

After: Family time in this new space won't be all about sitting — the door turns into a Ping-Pong table. Find out how you can get HGTV'd!

  • Dining Room

    Decidedly Un-fun

Before: This black-on-beige living room has no personality, and the homeowner knows it, especially since her favorite colors are purple and yellow. Kandria and her friends and family love to sing together and enjoy music, and she's dreaming of a very bright, bold space that will be the perfect setting for get-togethers.

  • Dining and Living Room

    Ready for a Party!

After: It's a princess' pad by day and a karaoke bar by night. For this amazing makeover, designer David Bromstad and the HGTV'd team transformed the living area into a sexy, sophisticated and edgy space — in Kandria's favorite colors. Setting the mood are the 16-foot patent-leather sofa, a handblown chandelier and an LED coffee table that changes colors, dance-floor style. Black, gray and white wallpaper coordinates with the crocodile-patterned black floors.

  • Purple Chairs

    Electric Dining

After: The color theme continues into the dining room. Custom-made velvet chairs, contrasting-color artwork and a glass chandelier turn the drab space into a dramatic setting for memorable meals.

  • Collection Space

Before: Avid travelers and ultimate HGTV fans, Jennifer and Kevin have remodeled most of their house with elements directly from their favorite HGTV shows. With the arrival of their first child, however, the Bersons' family room and Jen's office was left cluttered and unfinished.

  • Jaw-Dropping Space

After: Designer Kim Myles turns the cluttered hodge-podge of a room into a high-brow, luxurious, yet comfortable space. Her Regency-inspired transformation includes rich colors and textiles, custom furniture, a beautiful custom chandelier, a unique art screen covering the media center, inspired office space furnishings and an antique-door art installation. The end result is a space that's both functional and breathtaking.
