Tame and Tagged
Created for a major baseball fan, this teenage boy's room pulls out all the stops, including: pillows made from the jerseys of his three favorite players, a New York Yankees logo painted on the wall and a spectacular paint job that is based on a real Yankees mural in New York City.
Since this teenage boy's bedroom is all about baseball and his favorite team, the New York Yankees, a large Yankees logo was just the thing to add youthfulness to the space, while also showing his support.
A great way to display his books, baseball collection, carnivorous plants and trophies, a built-in shelf is just the thing to keep a young baseball fan organized. Plus, the attached desk is perfect for doing homework or keeping track of sports stats.
The Ground Floor
Though Leslie had originally planned to cover this baseball fanatics bedroom floor in actual AstroTurf, the feel under bare foot was too scratchy for comfort. Leslie says, \"Instead, we opted for cork flooring, which mimics the look of the baseline and feels warm and comfy.\" A rug that resembles grass adds an extra touch.
A closet that was more cluttered than useful was in need of a facelift in order to fit a maturing style and changing preferences.
Combining Work and Play
The pair of 3’-wide panels that had once been attached to the closet were replaced with Cascade Coil Drapery panels, which allotted room for the addition of a homework desk and shelves. For extra storage space, a wooden dresser was built into the closet.
