An Eclectic Nursery for Twins

Mother of four and well-known mom blogger Rebecca Woolf lets us peek inside the nursery of her twin girls, Reverie and Boheme.

  • Decorative Zebra Bust

    Add Handmade Touches

This sculptural zebra bust, available from Anthropologie, was constructed from recycled cement bags and covered with French newsprint. The twins' grandmother is to thank for the lovingly made crib bumpers, curtains and personalized blankets.

  • Feeding a Baby

    Mom Rebecca Woolf

Designer and mom Rebecca Woolf wanted to create an imaginative space for her twin daughters. The room's design was inspired by the drapery fabric, which features deer, flowers and leaves.

  • Dresser Doubles as Changing Table in Baby's Room

    Stash Their Stuff

If there's one thing kids' rooms need a lot of, it's storage. This nursery is a converted home office without a closet, so Rebecca had to get creative. She found this low dresser at a flea market, painted it a fresh minty green and added a pad to the top so it could also function as a changing table.

  • Babies in Colorful Crib

    Color Their World

The nursery's design is as bohemian as the babies' names: Reverie and Boheme. Rebecca filled their room with bright colors and lots of pattern to create an imaginative space.

  • Dress Up Dresser with Artsy Knobs

    Customize Beyond Basic Paint

To soften the look of the freshly painted dresser, Rebecca distressed the drawer edges with sandpaper. She then added mismatched glass and ceramic drawer pulls that pull in many of the room's colors.

  • Jungle Themed Nursery

    Create a Sense of Individuality

One challenge with multiples is giving each child his or her own personal space. Rebecca chose a different crib for each baby, but she kept the look cohesive with coordinating bedding.

  • Pink Baby Shoes

    Keep the Color Coming

In addition to the multi-hued fabrics, rug and artwork, Rebecca included flowering plants and other bright accents, like these adorable baby shoes.

  • Nursery with Dog

    Make It Cozy for Everyone

The room's plush green rug is a soft place for the girls to play — it's also a favorite nap spot for the family's dog, Cooper.

  • Black-Framed Photos

    Keep It Personal

Framed photos of the twins' names on street signs add a unique custom touch.

  • Baby Crib

Tie the Room Together With Fabric

Hand-sewn bumpers in coordinating fabrics and colors make each crib a cozy place for baby.
