In Need of Help
A sitting room in the Baltimore Symphony Decorator's Show House that featured boring glass shelves and an awkward, off-center fireplace was in need of some major help.
Designer Liz Dickson had the perfect plan to turn the space around. She set forth to accent the room's charming detials while changing and disguising the space's less desirable qualities.
Comfy, Cozy, Complete
A soft but vibrant blue and green color scheme was the basis for the new transitional design. Comfy furniture and updated wood shelves anchor the room and give it a much cozier vibe.
Simple artwork and shelves that are not over decorated complement the rest of the room without competing for attention.
What a View
A lovely window valance with a corresponding color palette helps to add interest to the room without blocking the view of the beautiful grounds.
Finally, a view of the open doorway in the back of the room demonstrates Liz's talent for working within an existing design, as the living room flows effortlessly with the rest of the home.
