Before: Blah Living RoomHeather and David would like to find their style and infuse it into the living/dining area of their 1928 Tudor house. The room currently lacks in style and color and proper window treatments.
Host Karen McAloon finds that the couple's beautiful arts and crafts dining table, antique candlesticks and vintage mirror displayed are pointers to their bohemian chic style. Boehmian chic style pairs flea market finds with contemporary furniture. The makeover of this room will focus on reusing existing pieces and choosing different kinds of furniture and fixtures that complement one another.
After: Boho ChicThe room is painted a crisp, light gray and recessed lighting is installed to add pockets of warmth to the room. The couple has already chosen a taupe sofa and a mustard yellow accent color, so the light gray-green walls act as a complementary color. Also, choosing three different lamps helps reinforce the boho chic look.

Before: Boring Dining RoomThis arts and crafts dining table is a great piece in the room, but it lacks personality in accessories.
After: Eclectic SpaceKaren says, "The key to bohemian chic style is to choose unique pieces, rather than a matching set, in any style that appeals to you." The couple chooses dishware from Anthropologie to give it a bohemian feel.
