Makeover Features Stucco and Stone Entry

A home gets a grand European-style makeover featuring a cobblestone driveway and elegant stone and stucco entry.

  • Michelle and Craig Chapman's house was beautiful, but they just didn't think it had enough character. The entryway lacked any real personality or charm, the landscaping was boring and the smallish basketball court was not roomy enough for family fun.
  • Designer Yvette Piaggio took a great home and made it grand with European-inspired touches including a castle-like portico and cobblestone entryway.
  • The open landing was replaced with a portico covered in stucco and stone. Asphalt stamping from the driveway up to the entry mimics the look of cobblestones and adds to the European flavor.
  • Landscape designer Tom Harley continued the European theme in the garden with topiaries and an elegant water feature.
  • A trestle-topped arbor adds balance to the front of the house.
  • Wrought-iron is used on the railings, window boxes and the gates in the portico.
  • The enlarged sports court includes regulation lines and basketball goal.
  • A balcony above the portico adds to the Old World castle ambiance.
