Ten years ago, Dimitra and Jesse Hawkins moved from Texas and have been updating their three-bedroom home ever since. They've been able to brighten up the rooms to take advantage of the spectacular views of the Sandias Mountains. However, the tiny, outdated kitchen has been left in the dark, and they're looking for a designer who can shed some light on the situation.

After: Old World-Style KitchenNew cabinets and the china hutch suit the old world style of kitchen, and a large center island with barstools and a built-in wine rack takes center stage. In addition, they get all new appliances and a hand-carved hood from Mexico above the stove.
Before: Unused Breakfast NookThey'll have to use surrounding rooms, including the adjacent breakfast room, to expand the kitchen.
After: Elegant Seating AreaAgainst one wall is a cabinet pantry with display shelves. At the end of the day, the couple is now able to relax and enjoy the gourmet kitchen that designer Dominic Serna created.
