Downsizing to a Condo

New landscaping, bathroom hardware and sunny citrus colors make a historic condo ready for market.

Before: Minor Fixes Needed

This master bedroom has a lot of character and charm with its exposed brick wall and unique L-shaped layout. There is an ample amount of storage space, but the cubbies on top of the closet are open, and potential buyers may not know how to handle that. Also, the closet doors are broken –– they keep popping off their track. Those are fairly easy fixes. The most difficult problem in this room is the poorly patched crack in the brick wall.

In the bathroom (not shown), the real estate expert was put off by the mix of brass and chrome in one small spot. She also gave a big thumbs down to the towel bar that was fastened to the front of the vanity and the shower curtain hanging over the window.
