Los Angeles designer Tommy Chambers has created some of Southern California's most awe-inspiring spaces –– like this amazing master bath with its jaw-dropping, wall-size windows that look out over the Pacific. Some of the windows are sliding doors that open to allow for an intimate connection to the ocean. "My favorite part of this bathroom would be the view," explains Chambers. "It's the star of the show and that was protected throughout this design."
The stainless-steel soaking tub is positioned to maximize the user's oceanfront view. The tub is well-equipped with high-tech whirlpool jets to make the view as relaxing as possible.
The use of mix-and-match materials on the twin vanities starts with the rectangular-shaped glass tile that covers the walls. Chambers wanted one monolithic unit for the sink and countertop. He chose to use formulated concrete poured in one piece so the sink and countertop are completely integrated.
The sharp, austere look of the vanity is beautifully contrasted with the warm zebra-wood and walnut-stained treatment on the mirrors and cabinets.
The dazzling pendant lights hanging above the tub add a little romantic touch and warmth to the big stainless-steel vessel.
