Modern Kitchen

A young couple are renovating an unlivable 1890s house but are at a loss when it comes to the kitchen. Can a student designer modernize the space while honoring the history of the home?

Before: Blank Slate

Stasi Michailidis and girlfriend, Devan Aledia, recently bought a fixer-upper and have been working constantly on renovations, but the 1890s house is not yet livable. Now they've run out of money for the most important room in the house — the kitchen. Student designer Tony Medecke comes up with a plan to bring in modern elements, high-style functionality and earth tones while honoring the home's historic style.
