Garden-Inspired Master Bedroom

An old iron gate, rusty barrel hoops and brown paper bags are remixed with a lot of creativity to transform a boring master bedroom.

Paint expert Danielle Hirsch paints the walls a silvery sage green, with a five-inch band of white at the top. Some unfinished baseboards found in the garage are painted white and attached to the walls between the two colors for a cove-ceiling look. McAloon bought two pairs of curtains, one taupe and one cream, and sewed them back-to-back. On the taupe side, Remi and Brian cut out large five-petal flowers, leaving the cream side to show through. The flower motif reinforces the garden theme, and the curtains are reversible so they can be changed with the seasons or whenever the couple wants a new look.
