Retro-Inspired Basement

In the past year, a young couple graduated from college, got married and bought their first house. See how a student designer transforms their basement into a 1950s-inspired hangout.

After: Back to the '50s

Coey creates a classy 1950s theme, more Rat Pack than Diner. The retro living area features a new slate blue, '50s-inspired couch, ottomans and a custom-built credenza and TV stand. Vintage chrome light fixtures illuminate the space, and custom artwork adds a Fifties flair.
