Trash to Treasure: Old Records

Sasha Andreev shows Joan Steffend how to make home accessories using old records.

An accent table is given new life with the help of some old 45s. The records are placed on the tabletop and then self-leveling polyurethane is poured on top. When the polyurethane is dry the piece is finished with black paint.

A four-inch hole-saw was used to cut out the inside label portion of a record album. The label is then covered in self-leveling polyurethane, when dry, cork is glued onto the back.

A retro coat rack is made from some old 12" LPs; the B sides are laid down on a 1x4 board then pegs are screwed through the holes on the A sides.
