Trash to Treasure: Tripods

Robb Whittlef shows Joan Steffend how to make old tripods into useful pieces for art, lamps and plants.

An old surveyor’s tripod is transformed into an art easel. A board, a piece of railing and a pair of finials are added to support the artwork.

Electrical hardware was added to this tripod to make a stylish floor lamp.

A wooden plate purchased at a craft store is fastened to the top of the tripod creating this handy little table.
