Trash to Treasure: Oilcloth

Robb Whittlef shows Joan Steffend some useful ideas for old oilcloths.

Old iron plant stands are given new life by re-covering the tops with oilcloth. The oilcloth is spray mounted and stapled to a board, then placed in the stand.

Using a utility knife patterns are cut from a piece of oilcloth to create refrigerator magnets or coasters. To create magnets, glue the oilcloth to magnetic material.

Beach Bag

Oilcloth is sewn onto a tote bag to create a fun, water repellent beach bag.
