Pink Palace

When David and Sharon Taffet bought their 1896 gothic stone home, the kitchen not only didn't live up to the outside but it hadn't been updated in about 50 years.

Designer Dave Stimmel helped to create a large open kitchen with smaller focal points and work stations, among them the exquisite island and elegant cabinet that sits on the countertop.

Pretty in Pink

Sharon admits she's a girly-girl at heart, which is why she went with the color pink as the main attraction. Pink toile wallpaper helps create a French country feel. Lavish pink curtains dress every window. Molding featuring carved bows and swags outlines the entire room for a true feminine influence.

Magnificent Mantel

The main attraction is the stone hearth over the range. The mix of a rosette, tile, marble and metal is complemented with a grand mantel featuring corbels with pull-out storage.
