Before: Outdated 1920s KitchenThis outdated apartment is boring and seriously lacking in color. Take a look as these designers completely transform this boring space into an updated retro classic style kitchen.
After: Updated Retro KitchenThe space is transformed into a retro style kitchen. The ceiling is painted a dark chocolate color and the walls are painted light brown. A pot rack is constructed out of copper pipes, wood boards and chain.
Copper pipe, elbows and Ts are fashioned into a shelving unit for the kitchen ledge. All of the joints are soldered together to make it stable. Plexiglas is used for the shelves. The entire piece is secured to the ledge to prevent it from tipping over.
After: Contemporary DiningThe dining area continues the new design. A contemporary rug becomes wall art when hung on the wall with a carpet tack strip. Light-colored wallpaper is hung in the back of the corner cabinets to brighten them up. Roman shades tie in with the clean, contemporary look while shielding the dining area from too much sunlight.
The existing table is updated with off-white paint and the chairs are revamped with red seat covers. A globe hanging light over the dining table is a fresh addition to the dining room's lighting scheme.
