Bowling Green Basement

Homeowners Hugh and Stacey Sims hope one of three designers can make their basement a unique space suitable for both adults and kids.

Hugh and Stacey Sims bought a large traditional Tudor-style home in Bowling Green, Ky., three years ago.

While they’ve redone much of their dream home to suit their family’s needs, they are unsure what to do with their finished basement. They hope a designer can make this a unique space suitable for both adults and kids.

After meeting with the designers, the Sims choose Beth Wilee Jones because her design utilizes the entire space and her proposal of gaming areas are bound to be a hit with the kids.

Wilee Jones uses a combination of textures to bring an earthy feel to the basement and she maximizes seating with leather chairs and ottomans and the large fireplace hearth. The game area has a custom pool table, ping-pong table and 54-inch game table. A multifunctional space is created in this basement, which both the adults and the kids can enjoy for years to come.
