A vacant office building is transformed into an eclectic home.

Bluegrass aficionado Easy Barber is often found strumming tunes on his guitar in the office space he renovated into an inviting home in Fort Smith, Ark. Talent is abundant in this family, not only with their music, but also in home decorating.

Knick-knacks from around the world reflect the eclectic tastes of the Barber family. As the only residence in an industrial-zoned area, the family has to deal with a noisy truck stop for a neighbor and curious strangers. The commercial facade still tricks people into thinking it’s an office building. But the Barbers find balance in their backyard, which is accentuated by a whistling creek and a deck custom-built around the trees.
