An Electrifying Home

A small electrical plant becomes a cozy home.

Bill Myers likes his motorcycle so much that he bought a retired electrical plant to store it.

The original ceilings were more than 15-feet, so Myers created a shallow second floor loft for use as a bedroom.
The curving glass brick shower was also one of Myers' ideas, though a friend pitched in with construction.

But then he thought that was a little excessive and decided to convert the building in Sumner, Iowa, into his home.

The project included three projects: Creating a living area for Myers, a garage for the motorcycle and a kennel for Boris the Wonder Dog. Myers had a partner in builder Ray Snider to help him with all of the construction. The interior adapted perfectly for use as a bachelor pad.
