Check out this ship-shape kitchen in a seaside home.
Some kitchens are so unorganized you're lucky if you can even open the utensil drawer. That's completely opposite from one totally ship-shape galley kitchen found in Florida. It took a talented crew to pull it of — Jim and Carol Womack, their architects Jeff Dungan and Louis Nequette and their interior designer Carol Murphy. Together, they created a beautiful kitchen with classic nautical touches.
White cabinetry, glossy countertops and lightweight sheer window treatments give this space a crisp, clean look.
The architects had a banquette built along the length of the island to free up more space.
The metal hooks holding the back cushion's grommet tabs were purchased at a marine store, giving the design an authentic nautical touch.
