Modern 1950s Salon
Originally from Australian, Jordan designed this beauty salon in Sydney to evoke a 1950s feel with a modern edge. Jordan’s client summed up the look as \"I Dream of Jeannie in a bottle.”
Glam Punk Living Room
Most modern prefab have a midcentury or Danish modern feel, but Jordan wanted to do something different. This “glam punk” space, featuring a custom Lucite bar, a curvy leather sofa and a red, white and black color scheme is the result.
A New Take on Antiques
The clients in this modern, prefab home had a trunk from their grandparents that didn’t match their more contemporary style, so Jordan encased the vintage, Goyard-style trunk in Lucite and added casters to create a usable and movable coffee table.
For this bedroom at the Good Shepherd Homeless Shelter, Jordan used a modern decal to create an unconventional headboard. This look is perfect for renters as it peels right off.
Small Space Decorating Tips
Jordan designed and manufactured the butler side tables to make this room's limited space seem larger. Adding a mirror over each side table brings more depth to the room.
Jordan loves to incorporate Asian influences into his designs, like the red accent chair and natural reed wall featured here.
To add personality to this sleek, modern kitchen, Jordan used colorful, framed shots of Vietnam.
To create an open, inviting office space for a client, Jordan mixed a lot of high and low end pieces. \"I love how the green chairs pop when you walk into this space,\" he says.
Pattern on Pattern
Jordan created this masculine yet glamorous living room with a backdrop of ocean blue sea cloth wallpaper with silver treat woven in. Don't be afraid to layer pattern! If you stick to a simple color palette, like Jordan does here, several patterns can work together within a space.
On the Waterfront
For this waterfront apartment seating nook, Jordan refurbished a modern chair and paired it with a custom Lucite table for a light, fresh look.
Hollywood glamour was the inspiration for this L.A. bedroom. The black and white color scheme lends classic elegance, while the preppy patterns in the yellow pillows and on the wall add a modern touch.
His and Hers Dining Room
This bright and happy dining room features light blues and greens. Jordan didn’t have enough wallpaper to cover the entire wall, so he color-matched the background of the wallpaper at the hardware store, then painted the wall and created wallpaper panels. He used a masculine modern chevron print on the chairs to balance out the soft feminine print of the wallpaper.
This rental kitchen has sunlight flooding in, so Jordan went with a dark, monochromatic gray to create a huge impact. It can easily be painted back to white when the tenant leaves.
