Designer Shane Inman wanted to give a top-notch, contemporary kitchen the comfort of a small cook space by adding warm wood cabinetry and floor-to-ceiling tilework in a slew of cozy, neutral hues. Among the inviting interior lies a professional-grade, 36-inch built-in grill with a hood, refrigerator, icemaker, sink and dishwasher.

A true chef requires a lot of counter space to prepare culinary delights, and a long, white stone countertop island does just the trick. To break up the white and provide a stunning color contrast, designer Christopher Grubb used dark wood for all the lower cabinets, while keeping the upper cabinets a crisp, clean white.
