The neighborhood of Gentilly, on the shores of Lake Pontchartrain, suffered some of the worst damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. One of the most badly damaged houses in Gentilly was the Ruffin family's home. The interior was gutted by Katrina and was unlivable. Here, volunteers frame the interior.
