Bear's Breeches

What bear's breeches' majestic spikes of purple-bracked white flowers lack in longevity - they only bloom from late spring to midsummer - they make up for in the vase; cut stems last well in arrangements. This clump-forming perennial prefers rich, well-drained soil in full or partial sun, and grows to 5 feet tall and 24-36 inches wide.
