Landscape, an oil painting by Josh Armijo, catches the eye as one is drawn into the space. “I think art is really the spirit of the house,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum. “It makes the house sing and come alive and adds the depth and character that every home needs.”

The staircase leads to the girl’s room, elevated slightly above the second floor. “I wanted to have the pop of that 10-foot plate in living room just to give it a little more height,” says David. “And it also made this space more interesting as well.”
