Trends in Action: Earthy Contemporary

When selecting materials for the tub area, the designer's first consideration was color. She wanted something earthy to add drama and vibrancy to the space, but still have a contemporary feel. To achieve that, she chose finishes and materials that all have straight, clean lines. For the earthy element, she selected slate tile and then followed the current trend of mixing various sizes, shapes and patterns of the same material. Large floor tile was used to make the room seem larger.
