Peel-and-stick vinyl flooring is used to create a pattern on the frame. First, the vinyl flooring is roughed up slightly with some sandpaper so the paint will stick better. The flooring pieces are then spray painted a variety of colors. When dry, a grid is drawn on the flooring material then cut into small squares with a utility knife. The small squares are then adhered to the frame in a geometric pattern.
