Grouseland is the historic home of former U.S. president, war hero and Indiana governor William Henry Harrison.

Figure A--The home's stately Eastern-style design brought a new level of elegance and sophistication to the frontier area of Vincennes, Indiana, befitting Harrison's role in the settlement of the territory.

Figure B--Highlights of Harrison's home include the front hall, which features a dramatic cherry staircase, and the council room that served as a "county seat" for community members.

Figure C--The formal dining room was designed around the Hepplewhite sideboard that was a wedding gift from the parents of Harrison's wife, Anna.
